White City Library

The JacksonCounty, WhiteCity branch library was part of an urban renewal project intended to create an identifiable civic area for this unincorporated community.  The design makes a statement of commitment through its presence that says this building is a contemporary, permanent, civic structure.  The brick and glass building is sited at the end of a new civic block.  It has an open patio area which is connected to a new community park and looks toward the Cascade mountain range and snow capped Mt McLaughlin.  The 6,700 sq. ft. $1,011,000 facility was designed by Skelton Straus Seibert, interiors by FFA architects.
