Rogue River Library

Jackson County¹s Rogue River branch library was the first venture in a series of community libraries funded with a $30 million voter-approved bond measure.  Originally a doctor¹s office, the existing structure was gutted and replaced with a clean lined, modern library facility adorned with extensive glazing along its creek view side.  Special truss shapes, vaulted ceilings, beams and columns, creating a strong visual statement, grace the buildings flattering entryway and the area¹s much-valued Rogue River is depicted in an elaborate entry floor pattern.

Square footage for the community¹s library was increased three-fold, from 3,890 to 10,300.  Private decks and an enclosed courtyard as well as a community meeting space are provided.  This library is the west regional library for county library services.  The $1,200,000 project was designed by Skelton Straus and Seibert with interiors by Grape Street Design.
