Ashland Police Facility

The City of Ashland, Oregon has approved initial documents for the expansion of the City’s Police Department Facilities located in the City at 1155 East Main Street.  The expansion will be considered in two phases with Phase 1 to begin construction about July 2012 and Phase 2 in the future with no determined start time.  Phase 1 work will remodel a portion of the existing 6,400 square foot facility and provide an approximate 3,000 square foot addition to the north into the present police parking impound area for a total Phase 1 project of about 9,400 square feet. The new addition will match the existing structure in general design, material uses and colors.  The existing parking area will be redesigned and no new parking area is considered for the facility at this time, with the exception that if funds are available some or all of the Phase 2 parking area may be completed as part of Phase 1 work.  The existing police vehicle carport will be relocated within the existing parking area.  No additional landscaping or fencing is proposed in the Phase 1 project.
